THE GOSPEL IS MOVING THROUGH THE UNREACHED RIGHT NOW!

We are currently in Kenya, training in both language and culture in order to prepare us for our final destination in East Africa. The program we are in offers a boots-on-the-ground training based on what we are experiencing here and now. We are learning so much about Islamic culture, African culture, and how to share the love of Jesus well in our current context. 

After 11 months, we will transition to our final destination, a totally unreached people group. We will be teaching English at a English Learning Center, and this centre will serve as a wonderful platform to connect and build relationships with the local people. In the midst of teaching, we intend to reach out into the communities that the Lord leads us to. Whether it be our neighbours, cafes, fruit stands, sewing groups, fishermen... we are there to bring the love of Jesus into places it has not been before. 

THE NEED:

There are around a million people where we are going that have questions about who Jesus is, and nobody is there to answer those questions. There are around a million people where we are going that are devoted to an empty, ritualistic, overbearing religion which offers no hope. There are around a million people where we are going that are desperate for something more real than what they know, but are bound by hopelessness because they don't know that Jesus is an option.

We feel simply called to be there. Be there to love and be there to be a light. Be there as a person they can trust and be there to pray for them. Be there to allow Christ to open their eyes to something more, and to be there in the key moments when the Spirit of God intervenes in their lives and transforms their hearts.
